LOLA GLASS

illustration and rebranding

The publishing house was seeking a book rebrand, aiming to infuse their novel with a fresh, illustrative style that differed from its previous stock photo look and captures its themes of paranormal intrigue and fantasy. Targeted at adults, the book exudes mystery and whimsy. They seek a design that pops on shelves yet maintains a discreet allure, setting it apart in its category.

I researched the market and made a mood board that showcased the main competitors of the category the book was in. I opted to use the signature colours of the category to signify the genre to the existing readers while using a high contrast illustrative style with fun glow points and fonts with illustrated flourishes to make it pop while standing out amongst its competitors.

Due the success of the first rebrand, the entire series was entrusted to me.
